It’s really hard to achieve this if you only focus on the income side. But, that’s what most of us do.

Promotions
And, yes, those are very important. But, it’s only half of the equation.
Unfortunately, when we make more, we tend to unintentionally spend more too. It’s easy to relax and let that happen. At least it was for me.
You’ve worked really hard, so you “deserve” that great dinner out, the nice car, the fancy vacation. You earned it!
But, I finally had to ask myself; “Is this thing that I want to buy more important than an hour, a day, a week, or even months of my life?”
The answer is almost always; No.
